Our Training Methodology

We believe that the learning experience should be a pleasant one for you and your dog and we strive to create this learning environment by the use of positive reinforcement methods.  We do not use harsh corrective measures which we believe to be not only unpleasant but actually counter-productive.

A clear plan of training for your dog is important.  Owner requirements vary enormously so it is important to agree at the outset your vision for your dog and for what is will be training for whether pet, a pet with a much higher level of training,  a working gundog and so on. We spell out the plan to you and explain the steps that are necessary in order to achieve your goal.  

Weekly sessions of an hour are recommended at least at the beginning to ensure continuous progress and to correct any faults or problems that appear or persist,  not only with the dog but also the owner!
